Party Meetings
We currently hold meetings at 7:30 pm on the second Thursday of each month.
These have been held in various parts of the Thirsk and Malton constituency. If you would like a meeting to be held in a particular location, please contact one of the officers. Many meetings have been at the Blue Ball Inn, Newbiggin, Malton, YO17 7JF.
However, Covid-19 has taken meetings online. We have continued with online meetings, as they work well for people over a wide area. Green Drinks
Join like minded people for a drink and a chat on 5th of every month, 8 pm at the Blue Ball Inn, Newbiggin, Malton, YO17 7JF. You don’t have to be a member of the Green Party, or any other party. Anyone interested in discussing things with a green slant is welcome. You’ll often find at least one Green Party member there.
Volunteer
Even if you don’t want to make the commitment of joining us, we always welcome supporters and volunteers. Volunteers can help with our campaigning work. Could you help deliver leaflets to your street, or go out with our campaign team and speak to local residents about their concerns? Do you have fundraising experience or web design, press, research and administrative skills? Whatever your level of experience and however much or little time you can give, we would love to hear from you. Contact any of our officers.
Become a candidate
Although we have stood candidates in the area in the last few years we have no Green Party councillors on the local District or County Councils yet. But we aim to change this. So we need lots of enthusiastic, committed and hard-working candidates. We are particularly keen to ensure diversity amongst our candidates. Candidates must be paid-up members of the Green Party and support its main aims and policies.
